Salt River Cleanup | February 18, 2017

The Event

Keep It Wild Co., Natural Restorations, & Friends of the Tonto National Forest teamed up to remove trash from the Lower Salt River from Phon D Sutton to Granite Reef on Saturday, February 18th. With the help of over 500 volunteers, we were able to remove over 14, 500 lbs of trash -- that's 900 bags of trash from the river banks!

In conclusion, we want to thank everyone for being part of the first of many more local cleanup efforts throughout the Southwest. This is the reason Keep it Wild Co. and Arizona Hikers Guide exist. The wild needs our help and needs to be nurtured. With your support, we can make a real and lasting impact on the local areas we freely enjoy.
